mate-dialogs-common software package provides Display graphical dialog boxes from shell scripts (common files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mate-dialogs-common
mate-dialogs-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mate-dialogs-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mate-dialogs-common *
You will get with mate-dialogs-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
